Balance is a hard red winter wheat cultivar targeted for production in Montana, and in areas of Washington containing low pH soils. It is also adapted to growling in late fall-planted no-till conditions in the less than 12 inch rainfall production zones.

Phenotypic Variant(s): Up to 1/45,000 in any combination of tall white awned common, awnless white chaff club heads, awned white chaff club heads, and awnless white chaff common heads.
Seed Variant(s): Up to 70 white seed per pound in all classes of certified production.

Balance has shown resistance to stripe rust, tolerance to cold temperatures, and tolerance to low pH soils.
