Overview:

SY Gunsight is a hard red spring wheat bred and developed by Syngenta Participations AG. It was selected for height, uniformity, and disease resistance.

Area of Adaptation:

SY Gunsight was tested in the spring wheat growing areas (12-20 inch moisture zones and irrigated) of the Pacific Northwest and was determined to be adapted to this area.

Resistance to Disease:

SY Gunsight has shown a low level reaction (Moderate Resistance) to the current strains of stripe rust in the PNW.

Variants and Frequency:

Phenotypic Variant: Up to 1% of of taller plants may be encountered in subsequent generations.

Seed Variant: Up to 35 white seeds per pound.
